How to get Unbanned from OmegleSo you found yourself banned by Omegle. This is extremely common and can happen for a variety of reasons from using bad or profane language, playing music in the background (copyright issues), nudity and sometimes seemingly for nothing at all.
It often seems the slightest infringement and you are no longer able to access Omegle. The chat website does use human moderators but it also uses security software and it may be this that you have fallen foul of. Omegle is an anonymous chat website and can be fun to use but it is anonymous and this makes it harder to get unbanned. Because Omegle has no passwords or usernames there is no way to make a new account. Omegle Tracks your IP AddressInstead of a username and password your IP address is registered and if you break the rules you are then blocked from gaining access. There is also no way to contact anyone at Omegle so you normally have to sit out your ban and wait to be allowed back in. Or do you? Luckily there are several ways to get yourself unbanned or to gain access to Omegle and carry on chatting. 1) Wait out your Omegle ban if you have the patienceThis is not really the ideal scenario as there is no way to know how long you have been banned for. If you choose to do this you will need to check on Omegle periodically until you find you have been granted access again. This can be anything from just a week to perhaps up to six months depending on how severely you infringed on their rules. Repeat or serious offenders will have longer and possibly permanent bans. It seems most users report that minor infringements take about a week. However there is no way of knowing. 2) Use a different networkIf you have access to another wireless network close by then logging in to that will give you a different IP address and therefore Omegle will allow you back to chat to your heart’s content. Be aware though getting yourself banned again might annoy the network’s owner if they too enjoy Omegle as it bans every computer using that IP address. You could always use a network in another setting such as a coffee shop, pub or friend’s house. The downside to this is lack of privacy and the inconvenience of moving to another location each time you want to chat. 3) Change IP addressThis method to get unbanned will only work if you are using a DSL or cable modem. Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) provides dynamic IP addresses for your modem. The address is allocated to you for a specific length of time. Once this expires your modem will be given a new one. This takes place every 14 days so you could wait up to 14 days if you are very patient and then head back to Omegle Or you can try and speed things up manually. First thing to do is find out your current IP address. Without this you will not be able to see when you have changed it. Open up a web browser and go to Google. Search the phrase ‘what’s my IP address?’ Your public IP address will then be displayed on the screen. Make a note of this. Now to try and force the IP address to refresh you will need to unplug your modem. Unfortunately there is no easy way to tell how long it will take to force a new IP address. Try it for an hour or so and then plug back in. Head back to Google and repeat the IP search as above. If the address has changed you should be good to go back to Omegle. If not then you will need to unplug the modem for longer. Perhaps do this when you go to work, college or overnight. 4) Use a VPNThe best way to get unbanned from Omegle is to use a VPN. As mentioned previously you need to change your IP address. Instead of the above methods there is a more straightforward way and one that can bring other benefits. To change your IP address effectively and start using Omegle again you will need a VPN. There are many options on the market. There are free versions but ideally it may be worth you taking out a small subscription to get all the options that come with that. What is a VPN?VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. Instead of connecting directly to the internet it will mask your IP address by routing you through another location. There are many positives to using a VPN. It adds extra security, it lets you browse more anonymously and allows access to sites not available in some countries. For instance if you are subscribed to Netflix in the UK then a good VPN will let you use your subscription to view Netflix USA. One downside to using a VPN is it can often slow down your connection so it is important to find a fast one especially if you are going to be using it for video chatting when you return to Omegle. You can see here some of the fastest VPNs. There are free VPNs but for best quality you will probably want to purchase the premium version. Once you have chosen and installed your preferred VPN you can then select a country and connect. This will provide you with a new IP address and fool Omegle into letting you back on the chat site. If you happen to get banned again simply choose another location on your VPN and connect to that one. Be aware that some countries are not allowed to access Omegle. Now that you have all the options to get unbanned from Omegle it’s time to choose the best one for you and return back to Omegle. Rate:
